Mr. Irwin began his career as a bond analyst for Scotia Capital Markets. At Scotia, Mr. Irwin developed the Universe Bond Index, the Canadian bond market benchmark, as well as Canada's first bond index fund shortly thereafter
He later worked in general corporate finance and merger & acquisitions for CIBC Wood Gundy, in credit analysis and fixed income management for Scotia Capital Markets and in proprietary trading for Deutsche Bank Canada before launching Rosseau Asset Management Ltd.
Mr. Irwin received his MBA in 1991 from the University of Western Ontario and concurrently earned his Chartered Financial Analyst degree in 1990
Mr. Irwin graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in 1987 from the University of Waterloo.
